As a kid I was a voracious reader. I had an active imagination and would write all sorts of little stories or poems. As a teenager, my grandmother introduced me to the romance genre. I fell in love with it and never looked back.
I joined the Army at age 18 and spent the last 20 years of my life dedicated to serving my country. During that time I still read nearly every day. It was my escape from life.
I always wanted to be an author. There was always this “what if” in the back of my mind every time I read a book. What if the author did this instead? What if the character did that? So for the last year I decided that when I finally hung up my uniform for good, I would be an author. I had soooooo many ideas bouncing through my head.
So I decided to write Dark Romance. The reason I picked this genre is because there are a lot of bad things that happen to people and I want to show that just because you had a bad start or a bad experience, doesn’t mean that you can’t still find love. There is someone out there for everyone.
